Panel, especially a floor panel, comprises a support plate (1) made of sized and compacted fiber material and having an upper side (15) and a lower side (5) provided with a cover layer (10). The cover layer of the upper side has a structured surface. The density on the upper side of the support plate is lower than the density of the support plate on the lower side. Independent claims are also included for the following: (1) Support plate; (2) Production of a panel, especially a floor panel; and (3) Production of a support plate. Preferred Features: The support plate has a density of less than 700 kg/m3. The sizing factor of the support plate is greater than 10%. |
