<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an image forming apparatus enabling even a user to easily replace a unit while accurately keeping relative positions between the paper conveyance parts of respective units. <P>SOLUTION: Guide pins 48a and 48b are provided to project downward at both ends of the lower surface on the secondary transfer side of the belt unit frame 46 of an intermediate transfer belt unit 3. A positioning guide groove 51 is formed at a position parallel with the longitudinal direction of a standby conveyance roller pair 25 on the upper surface part 49-1 of the unit frame 49 of a paper conveyance unit 38, and both side walls of the insertion port 51-1 of the positioning guide groove 51 are formed to widen in an outward direction. When the intermediate transfer belt unit 3 is inserted in space between the paper conveyance unit 38 and a fixing unit 27, the guide pins 48 are guided to both side walls of the insertion port 51-1 shaped to widen, and correctly inserted in the positioning guide groove 51 even when their inserting positions are somewhat deviated, and the guide pins 48 and the positioning guide groove 51 are engaged with each other, whereby both units are correctly positioned. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2007,JPO&INPIT |
