<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a gas generator for an occupant restraining device, which does not permit parts arranged inside to be displaced or to come off. <P>SOLUTION: A retainer 50 is fitted in one end of a tubular housing 20, and an arrowhead part 24c of a rod 24 is tightly inserted in a hole of the retainer 50. A disc part 24a of the rod 24 is pressurized in an ignition means chamber housing 32.
