<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To synchronously reproduce video data and audio data with simple constitution even in an environment wherein radio wave use is limited, for example, in a public place while maintaining convenience such that a video reproducing device and audio reproducing device are connected by wireless. <P>SOLUTION: When multimedia encoded data are reproduced, a multimedia encoded data reproducing device (video reproducing device) 300 sends reproduction start instruction information and reproduction start time information to an audio reproducing device which previously has audio data included in the multimedia encoded data. Then an answer signal sent back from the audio reproducing device is received and decoded by a received information decoding part 311 to judge whether audio reproduction by the audio reproducing device can be performed normally.
