<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an image output apparatus for acquiring and outputting original data as a source for creating an original in copying the original. <P>SOLUTION: In reading an image of the original through an original read section (S13), the image output apparatus decides whether or not an identification mark is attached to the image by means of character recognition or pattern matching and decides whether or not the read original is an instruction sheet (S14). In the case of the instruction sheet (YES, in S14), the image output apparatus extracts storage destination information of a color original from the instruction sheet (S15) and acquires original data of the color original on the basis of the extracted storage destination information (S16). Then the image output apparatus executes the output processing on the basis of the acquired original data (S17).
