<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a display method of a display device with which a display is performed with emission luminance larger than white balance adjustment luminance even when the maximum emission luminance of individual colors is restricted by white balance and display modes of an image are increased to expand use of the display device in the display device having a display panel on which pixels with emission elements which emit light beams in the respective colors; and also to provide the display device and electronic equipment. <P>SOLUTION: On a display panel part 2 arranging pixels for red having organic EL elements for red, pixels for green having organic EL elements for green and pixels for blue having organic EL elements for blue, video data D formed by adding luminance mode data to luminance data is supplied.
