<p><P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide electronic equipment for safely stopping the supply of a clock to a module without generating any load of software. <P>SOLUTION: When stopping the supply of a clock CLK_A to a module A, a clock generating circuit 1 activates a clock stop request signal STOP_A. In response to this, the module A shifts to an SLEEP status where the supply of a clock may be stopped, and activates a clock stop permission signal RUN_A.
