PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an imaging apparatus to prevent a continuous photography from causing an obscuration of a photographed image due to a shake of a photographic subject. SOLUTION: An image of the photographic subject imaged on an imaging element at a step 102 is taken in, and it is judged whether a characteristic quantity of the image exists in a step 103. When the characteristic quantity exists, a position of a main photographic subject in a template is identified in a step 104, and it is identified in a step 105 that a matching is a prescribed threshold value or more. A moving velocity in the image of the main photographic subject is operated in a step 106, and an angular velocity of the imaging element is measured in a step 107. A shutter is clicked in a step 108, and an optical correction to make a moving quantity in the image of the main photographic subject become zero in a step 109 is conducted for a period until the shutter is off in a step 110.
