PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a screen plate to form a hole injection layer having a uniform film thickness by screen printing so as to obtain a desired pattern, a method for forming the hole injection layer using it, and a highly reliable organic light emitting device capable of high quality display. SOLUTION: A screen having the number of meshes of 200-700 meshes/inch, and a wire diameter within a range of 10-70μm is used as the screen plate for forming the hole injection layer of the organic light emitting device, and ink at least containing a hole injection material and a solvent having viscosity within 1-100 cP at a shear rate of 100 /sec. and having dynamic surface tension within 20-60 dyne/cm at 2 Hz is used as ink for the hole injection layer. The solvent is a mixed solvent of water and an alcohol based solvent, and the content of the alcohol based solvent in this mixed solvent is within 5-70 wt.%.
