PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a method for manufacturing an electrostatic charge image developing toner hardly causing toner splashing, filming to a photoreceptor, or the like, capable of forming a black or full-color image excellent in developability, electrostatic chargeability and fixing property, and having high image quality and high reliability. SOLUTION: The electrostatic charge image developing toner which hardly cause the toner scattering, the filming to the photoreceptor, or the like and has the excellent developability, electrostatic chargeability and fixing property, high image quality and high reliability can be manufactured by liberating the fine powder sticking to the toner surface by applying ultrasonic waves to the fine powder, more particularly the fine powder of≤1μm in grain size in a cleaning process after flocculating and fusing at least resin particles and colorant particles of the method for manufacturing the electrostatic charge image developing toner.
