PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To match a frame period when a high frequency clock is used to a frame period when a low frequency clock is used without increasing packaging area. SOLUTION: This electro-optic device is characterized by being equipped with a first oscillation circuit 18 which generates a first clock for generating a timing signal for a first display mode, a second oscillation circuit 19 which generates a second clock for generating a timing signal for a second display mode and with frequency lower than that of the first clock and an adjustment means 17 for adjusting the frequency of the second clock according to a frame period to be regulated by the timing signal on the basis of the first clock based on the control signal.
