PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide foamed wallpaper friendly to the environment and excellent in wiping ability, and to provide a method for producing the same. SOLUTION: The foamed wallpaper is such that a paper substrate is borne with an intermediate layer having at least a foamed resin layer made from a nonhalogen-based thermoplastic resin and a surface-protective layer on the intermediate layer. In the wallpaper, the surface-protective layer is made from a polymethylpentene-based resin, and the intermediate layer is formed in such a way as to comprise a nonfoamed resin layer and a foamed resin layer, a foamed resin layer and a nonfoamed resin layer, or a nonfoamed resin layer and a foamed resin layer and a nonfoamed resin layer, from the paper substrate side in this order.
