PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a waterborne platinum coating composition. SOLUTION: The waterborne platinum coating composition includes, in an exemplary embodiment, by weight, about 20% to about 40% of a platinum powder, about 0.5% to about 5.0% of a polymeric binder, <about 1.0% of a surfactant, and about 55% to about 80% of water.
