PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To accurately detect the longitudinal inclination of a traveling machine body in excellent responsiveness, to accurately correct a target angle and to carry out a rise and fall control to bring about stable operation depth in an automatic rise and fall controller of a paddy field working machine having a constitution that a paddy field operation apparatus freely liftably and lowerably connected to the rear part of a traveling machine body is vertically swingably equipped with a sensor float and the rise and fall of the paddy field operation apparatus is controlled so as to keep the swinging angle of the sensor float at a target angle. SOLUTION: The traveling machine body is equipped with an angular velocity sensor 31 for detecting the angle change of the machine body in the longitudinal direction. The automatic rise and fall controller is equipped with a control means for automatically correcting the target angleθ0 of the sensor float based on the detected information of the angular velocity sensor 31.
