A machine for applying foil seals onto the tops of bottles has a rotating head, driven by a motor (1) to press rotating pressure rollers (14) onto the foil seals while the seals are held by a holding grip (5). The rotating rollers are fitted onto control rods (13) threaded through centrifugal masses (19) which impart increasing pressure onto the rollers with increasing head speed.
