A method for making a rice cake is provided to obtain a functional rice cake containing extract of medicinal herbs and boiled by user, and to prevent a rice cake from being degenerated by moulds even when storing the rice cake for a long period of time. The method for making a rice cake comprises: a step(100) of swelling rice in salty water; a step(200) of pulverizing the swollen rice; a step (300) of kneading the rice flour with an adequate amount of medicinal herb extract and water in a mixer; a step(400) of forming the kneaded product into a desired shape; a step(500) of conveying the formed product through a conveyor; a step(600) of sterilizing the formed product by UV irradiation and laser beam irradiation; a step(600) of freezing the sterilized product for 7-8 hours; and a step(800) of packaging the frozen product. |
