<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To prevent a user from being secretly substituted without increasing user's burden by surely acquiring appropriate biological information which can be used for authentication. <P>SOLUTION: The device for acquiring a face picture 10 temporarily acquires user's fingerprint data by a fingerprint acquiring part 40, decides whether or not the fingerprint data is information which can be used for the authentication of the fingerprint, and preserves the information as the fingerprint data for authentication when deciding it as the information which can be used for the authentication of the fingerprint. When the user touches the photographing button of a touch panel 41, the user's fingerprint data is acquired by a fingerprint acquiring part 50 arranged under the photographing button, and also a still face picture is acquired. Furthermore, when the fingerprint data acquired by touching the photographing button agrees with the fingerprint data for authentication, the still face picture data is preserved.
