<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a developer supply container displaced when detached. <P>SOLUTION: The developer supply container includes: a container main body storing developer and having an opening for discharging developer; a shutter for sealing the opening; and an operating section for opening the shutter. In the developer supply container, the container main body has: a portion subject to force in the direction in which the container is detached from the main body of an electrophotographic image forming apparatus; and a first lock portion attached to the main body of the apparatus and also undetachably locked by the locking member of the main body of the apparatus. The operating section has an engaging portion that engages with the releasing member of the main body of the apparatus. Accompanying the movement of the operating section, the engaging portion and the releasing member engage.
