THERMAL TRANSFER IMAGE RECEIVING SHEET FOR AUXILIARY HEATING SYSTEM AND IMAGE FORMING METHOD USING THE SHEET

PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a thermal transfer image receiving sheet which is used for image formation by an auxiliary heating system and is at low cost, and an image forming method using the thermal transfer image receiving sheet.

SOLUTION: The thermal transfer image receiving sheet used in the auxiliary heating system performing the thermal transfer while auxiliary heating is performed from a substrate sheet side of the thermal transfer image receiving sheet, is provided by successively laminating an intermediate layer and a receiving layer on a substrate sheet. The intermediate layer constituting the thermal transfer image receiving sheet has a specific heat not larger than the specific heat of the receiving layer, and has barrier properties to dyeing.
