<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a connector capable of electrically connecting a cold cathode tube to a main substrate without applying soldering which requires much man-hours and without using a power feed line, and capable of realizing easily automation of assembly of the cold cathode tube, to provide the main substrate having the connector, and to provide a method of mounting the cold cathode tube on the main substrate. <P>SOLUTION: The socket 2 consists of a socket case 21 which houses an end part of the cold cathode tube 1, a socket cover 22 which is engaged with the socket case 21 at assembly and has a function to arrange the cold cathode tube 1 at a proper location, and a socket terminal 23 which has first contact parts 231a and 231b to conduct and connect with lead wires 12 at both ends of the cold cathode tube 1 at assembly. The socket terminal 23 has, further, a second contact part 234 which is electrically connected with the main substrate when the connector is mounted on the main substrate, and thereby, the cold cathode tube and the main substrate can be electrically connected without using the power feed line. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2007,JPO&INPIT |
