<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To correctly communicate contents of additional information even when different language is used between users who commonly refer to a document and its additional information when applying additional information to the document. <P>SOLUTION: In a remote display system having a computer which performs processing to transmit display object information to a remote side device for displaying a display object by the remote side device, a computer performs processing to provide a screen for inputting the language classification of annotation information to be added to the display object for display and the annotation information, and to transmit the language classification of the annotation information and the annotation information input from the screen to the remote side device by associating them with each other.
