PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To perform control or monitoring by a PLC (Programmable Logic Controller) using a detection capability of a photoelectric sensor while reducing a load of the PLC. SOLUTION: An ON/OFF signal is generated by presence/absence of a work, generation frequencies of the ON/OFF signal are counted, a count value obtained by this count is compared with a threshold and an ON or OFF signal is output according to its comparison results.
