PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a liquid discharge head and an image forming apparatus for preventing a fluid crosstalk. SOLUTION: The liquid discharge head is provided which is supplied with a liquid into a plurality of pressure chambers from a common flow path to keep the liquid in the pressure chamber pressed by pressure generating means, and to discharge the liquid from a nozzle, wherein at least a part of a partition wall of the common flow path is composed of at least two layers of a first member and a second member that come in contact with the liquid in the common flow path, and the first member satisfies the relationship of L=λ×(2n+1)/4 when a thickness of the first member is L, a wavelength of a sound wave passing through the inside of the first member isλ, and a non-negative integer is n, and satisfies the relationship of Z<SB>1</SB><Z<SB>2</SB><Z<SB>3</SB>or Z<SB>3</SB><Z<SB>2</SB><Z<SB>1</SB>when an acoustic impedance of the liquid in the common flow path is Z<SB>1</SB>, an acoustic impedance of the first member is Z<SB>2</SB>and an acoustic impedance of the second member is Z<SB>3</SB>.
