PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To reduce a dead time in which high-side and low-side switching elements are simultaneously turned off, and to improve the conversion efficiency in a DC-DC converter. SOLUTION: A voltage dropping DC-DC converter 1 is provided with: a first OFF detecting circuit 2a; a second OFF detecting circuit 2b; a capacitor C1; a capacitor C2; a diode D1; inverters INV1-INV4, inverters INV6, INV7; an inductor L1; a first level shifting circuit LS1; a second level shifting circuit LS2; a third level shifting circuit LS3; a two-input NAND circuit NAND1; a two-input NAND circuit NAND2; a high-side n-channel power MOS transistor NT1; and a low-side n-channel power MOS transistor NT2. The first OFF detecting circuit 2a and the second OFF detecting circuit 2b reduce a rise time of gates of the n-channel power MOS transistors, and reduces the dead time thereby.
