PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a lens meter that can prevent a printing needle from being pressed down, if the printing needle does not point downward at an evacuation position with an inexpensive constitution of small number of components, and the operating force for moving the printing needle downward will not become large. SOLUTION: The printing needles 22a-22c are held back/forth movably by a device body 1 between the retracting position separated from a spectacle lens L mounted on a lens cradle 6 of the device body 1 and a printing position, capable of printing on the spectacle lens and are turnably disposed between the facing direction, where the tips face the spectacle lens L and the non-facing direction where the tips point in the direction crossing the facing position. The lens meter has a movement regulating means 23, that restrains the printing needles 22a-22c, whose tips are directed in the non-facing from moving to the spectacle lens L side at the retracting position, and allows the printing needles 22a-22c, whose tips are directed in the facing direction to move to the spectacle lens L side at the retracting position.
