PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a radio communication system capable of correctly transmitting the content of a slot of a frame. SOLUTION: The radio communication system comprises a control station, at least one base station, and a plurality of mobile stations. A base station or a mobile station monitors a predetermined slot of a data frame of a communication channel to be transmitted. If it is detected that the slot is an idle slot, data for discriminating a type of the communication channel is inserted into the slot, and modulation processing is performed.
