PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide the waterproof structure of an outdoor unit which protects the outdoor unit from water without fail even if the outdoor unit is installed outdoors for a long period of time. SOLUTION: A housing 15 housing the outdoor unit 1 airtightly includes a base 16 which covers the back side and the top side of the outdoor unit 1, and a cover 17 which covers the opening of the base 16. The base 16 is composed of a back board 18 and a top board 19 which are formed integrally. The top board 19 has a slope 22 sloping down toward the front end of the top board 19, and a sheath 24 formed on the periphery of the top board 19 to project downward. A wall-hanging attaching piece 8 on the lower part of the outdoor unit 1 is fastened to the back board 18 of the base 16 with a screw 34. On the interior of the slope 22, ribs 23 are formed to cramp a wall-hanging attaching piece 6 on the upper part of the outdoor unit 1 together with the back face board 18.
