PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a low-cost method of fixing terminal fittings capable of preventing local heat emission and to provide the terminal fitting. SOLUTION: A terminal fitting 1 includes a first terminal fitting 5 and a second terminal fitting 6. The first terminal fitting 5 includes a first flat plate part 8 having a through hole 12 and caulking pieces 9. The caulking pieces erect from both edges in width direction of the first flat plate part 8. The second terminal fitting 6 includes the second flat plate part 14 having a protrusion 15. The protrusion 15 is inserted in the through hole 12 and its end part is crushed, and the second flat plate part 14 is caulked with the caulking pieces 9 so that the first and second terminal fittings 5, 6 are fixed to each other, and the terminal fitting 1 is formed.
