PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a spiral processing device for a glass tube in which a spiral glass tube having an optional length is obtained and the cross-sectional shape is not deformed and a method of manufacturing the spiral glass tube. SOLUTION: The spiral processing device for the glass tube is provided with a chuck part 2 for grasping a glass tube G, a first driving means 3 for rotating the chuck part 2, an elevating means 4 for moving the chuck part 2 up and down, a moving means 6 for moving the chuck part 2 back and forth, a heating means 8 provided at a position apart from the axial line of the chuck part 2 by a prescribed distance in the direction orthogonally crossing the axial line of the chuck part 2 and a roller 9 for sending the glass tube G provided in back of the heating means 8.
