PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an elevator device capable of improving work efficiency and ensuring worker's safety by performing maintenance work of equipment provided in the vicinity of an entrance of a landing from the inside of a car. SOLUTION: In the elevator device wherein the equipment 15 is installed in the vicinity of the entrance 14 of the landing 13 on every floor for a shaft 12 of the car 11, configured so that the maintenance work of the equipment 15 is performed from a side of the shaft 12, an inspection port 21 passing through the inside and outside, and a lid body for covering the inspection port 21 are openably provided on a side face panel of the car 11 facing a back face of the equipment 15, and the inspection port 21 is provided with a safety switch for locking up-and-down operation of the car 11 when the lid body is opened.
