PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To quickly and simply perform the transmission of information to a user from an image forming device 1 in a language suitable for the user. SOLUTION: A terminal position collecting section 502 performs wireless communication, and measures its distance to at least one portable terminal 10a, 10b, 10c or 10d. A terminal specification section 503 specifies a portable terminal nearest to the image forming device 1 as a selected terminal on the basis of the result of measurement of the terminal position collection section 502. A display control section 505 displays prescribed display information in a display/operation section 57 on the basis of user information acquired from the selected terminal.
