In the production of plastics parts with lacquered surface by first molding the part from a thermoplastic molding composition and then applying lacquer coat(s) to the surface, a magnetizable polymer composition is used and this is magnetized in zones by applying a magnetic zone during or after molding, then the molding is coated with a lacquer containing particles that can be oriented magnetically.
