EXTERNALLY CONTROLLED FAN DEVICE AND CONTROL METHOD THEREOF

PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an externally controlled fan device capable of optimally and evenly cooling an engine over a long time.

SOLUTION: This externally controlled fan device is provided with an external controller for receiving an input showing an engine cooling request, and for computing an appropriate target fan speed in relation to the cooling request of the received input; a fluid clutch for transmitting the torque to the externally controlled fan device to obtain real fan speed; a means for controlling the fluid inside the fluid clutch to control the real fan speed; a means for measuring fluid control data in each of several periods and for storing them; a means for measuring real fan speed in each of several periods and for storing them; and an appropriate control means for expanding algorithm based on the measured and stored fluid control data and the measured and stored real fan speed for renewal and for appropriately controlling the fluid by generating a fluid control signal to make the real fan speed nearly coincide with the target fan speed.
