<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a remote control system capable of surely starting the recording of a television program during display at present by an easy operation when a call is terminated to a cellular phone. <P>SOLUTION: In the remote control system, the cellular phone and a digital television with an image recording function are connected through radio communication, and when a user responds to the incoming call of the cellular phone, the image recording of a program broadcasted at present on the digital television is started and then telephone communication is started.
