PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a refrigerator for greatly suppressing temperature rise in the refrigerator by reducing heat leakage into the refrigerator during defrosting operation for removing frost from a heat absorber. SOLUTION: The refrigerator 30 comprises a freezing chamber 42, the heat absorber 3, and a defrosting heater 10. Herein, there are arranged a freezing air duct 55 in which the heat absorber 3 and the heater 10 are provided and a suction air duct 57 which is provided for introducing air from the freezing chamber 42 into the freezing air duct 55. Near an area where both air ducts 55, 57 are communicated with each other, an air duct partition wall 34 is provided which can introduce the air from the freezing chamber 42 into the freezing air duct 55 while preventing the flow of the air heated by the heater 10 into the suction air duct 57.
