PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a door body for a refrigerator, having an end face less affected by rust without the need for applying zinc plating to an outer plate. SOLUTION: The door body 1 comprises the steel outer plate 10, an inner plate 20 arranged with a flange portion 21 laid on a joint face 12 of the outer face 10 to cover the inner face side of the outer plate 10 and having right, left, upper and lower ends one of which is shorter than the joint face 12, a door cap 30 for closing a vertical opening portion formed by the inner plate 20 and the outer plate 10, and a heat insulating material 40 filled in a space between the door cap 30 and each of the outer plate 10 and the inner plate 20. It has a turn-around portion 14 formed by turning the end of the joint face 12 exposed to the outer face through at least the inner plate 20 and the door cap 30 around to the back side.
