PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a roller bearing having a high allowable rotating speed structured so that spacer is interposed between rollers, by allowing a smooth through flow of lubricating oil around the rolling surface and reducing the stirring resistance of the lubricating oil owing to the spacer. SOLUTION: The roller bearing is equipped with a plurality of rollers 16 interposed between an inner raceway and an outer raceway with possibility of rolling freely and spacer 18 positioned between adjoining rollers 16, wherein the spacer 18 extends from the inside of the pitch circle to the outside, and the spacer section at its surface contacting with the rolling surface has a recessed shape to receive the rolling surfaces of the rollers 16, in which further an extension part 18a to contact with the roller end face is provided at least at one end in the axial direction of the spacer 18 and is supported by an annular side plate 20 fixed to the inner ring or outer ring.
