NOVEL AZO COMPOUND

摘要

Disclosed is an excellent azo compound of bright magenta color which has high fastness to light and exhibits high solubility in organic solvents used for coloring or mixing various polymer materials, especially in those preferably used organic solvents, namely aromatic solvents such as toluene, ketone solvents such as methylethyl ketone, and ester solvents such as ethyl lactate. Specifically disclosed is a novel azo compound represented by the following general formula (I). (In the formula, R<SUB>1</SUB> and R<SUB>2</SUB> independently represent an alkyl group having 2 or more carbon atoms, R<SUB>3</SUB> represents an alkyl group, and X represents a halogen atom.)
