PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a facility search device, method, and program capable of accurately and quickly finding a particular facility from a multiplicity of displayed facility names including a common character, and capable of contributing to operation improvement of navigation. SOLUTION: From characters composing a facility name searched by a genre searching part 46, a common character that is common in the facility names is judged by a common character judging part 47. From the characters composing the facility names searched by the genre searching part 46, the first character of characters after excluding the common character is acquired as a search target character by a search target character acquiring part 48. A facility search part 50 searches a facility name including the search target character matching with a character specified by a user, from the facility names searched by the genre searching part 46.
