PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an ink cartridge which can prevent ink from leaking and can also simplify assembling work, and to provide a manufacturing method of the ink cartridge. SOLUTION: A frame 100 with an ink storing part which stores ink has an ink dispensing part 130 which forms an ink injection path led to the ink storing part. A plug member 520 is press-fitted in the ink injection path formed by the ink dispensing part 130. The ink injection path is closed by the plug member 520. Both the ink dispensing part 130 and the plug member 520 are hidden by a case 200 to be invisible from the outside.
