PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a narrow transfer device by reducing the length occupied in a width direction of the transfer device by sensors or detected members. SOLUTION: On a base plate 4 of a slide fork, a contact sensor 24 and a noncontact sensor 27 are aligned along a sliding direction, and a contact sensor 25 and a noncontact sensor 26 are aligned along the same direction. On a middle plate 6, detected members 28, 30, and 33 are aligned along the sliding direction, and detected members 29, 31, and 32 are aligned in the same direction, thereby reducing to half the width occupied by the sensors or the detected members on the slide fork.
