PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a sheet conveying device, an image forming device having the sheet conveying device, an image reader, and a post-processing device capable of brushing off silver powder deposited on a sheet material and preventing the image quality and the conveyance quality of the image forming device for a long time at low cost with a simple configuration. SOLUTION: In a sheet material conveying device 40, a sheet P is placed on a lower sheet guide 42, and guided and conveyed in a conveying passage F consisting of upper and lower sheet guides 41, 42. An opening part 42a is formed in the lower sheet guide 42, and a rotatable brush-shaped member 43 having partially different flock length is provided on the downstream side of the opening part 42a so that the member enters toward the direction of the lower sheet guide 42 from the upper sheet guide 41 side located above.
