PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a defoaming apparatus capable of erasing foam at satisfactory timing with relatively simple equipment without requiring driving power for defoaming. SOLUTION: A cage 16 is installed in an aperture 15 of a channel 11 of a culvert under drain type where water is discharged so as not to be immersed in water. A net-like member 17 is installed on the base of the cage 16 and a filter 18 is installed in the upper part thereof; further, a plurality of pieces of spheres 19 are installed thereto. The net-like member 17 crushes the bubbles 13 generated on a water surface and advancing into the cage 16, and allows the fine bubbles that cannot be completely crushed to pass the member. The filter 18 crushes the bubbles 13 past the net-like member 17 and allows the further finer bubbles 13 that are not completely crushed to pass the filter. A plurality of the spheres 19 mash the bubbles 13 past the filter 18 to a liquid form and return the bubbles to the channel 11. COPYRIGHT: (C)2007,JPO&INPIT
