PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an absorbent article capable of effectively using an absorbent surface positioned between anti-leakage walls and stably swelling the absorbent surface toward the skin side of a wearer. SOLUTION: The absorbent article 1 includes: anti-leakage grooves 8 which are positioned at both the right and left sides of a surface layer and respectively extend in a longitudinal direction; and anti-leakage walls 5 which are respectively positioned on the outside of each anti-leakage groove 8 and extend in the longitudinal direction. The anti-leakage walls 5 include: a base wall part 5a; and a skin abutment surface 5b protruded in a horizontal direction. An elastic member to be extended in the longitudinal direction of the anti-leakage wall is arranged in an extension state in the skin abutment surface part 5b.
