Protection device against flinders bursting from a reel core (6) of reel changer (1). It takes the form of a capturing grate on the moving reel platform (2) fastened to the frame (11) as well as sheet protection (14) on the reel stand (10). It is designed to capture flinders flying off from the reel core at any possible angle.
