<p>An improved sound proofing system for mounting alongside a high speed rail track uses longer concrete panels than normal, of at least 7.6 meters, and mounted into support posts (4) via damping strips (6) with parallel elastic beads (7). One or both sides of each panel can be fitted with a sound damping cladding and the ends of the panels are thickened. The last post of a sound proofing wall is fitted on the outer end with a damping mass (8) mounting on damping springs.</p> |
