A method of changing the serving cell in a cellular communications network, wherein a radio communications link is established between a serving network node of a serving cell and a mobile terminal, the method comprising the steps of the mobile terminal sending radio measurement reports for cells other than the serving cell; after a predetermined condition is fulfilled, performing a pre-configuration for establishing a radio communications link for one or more cells being a candidate for a new serving cell.
