Method of diagnosing the ageing of electrical installations using lost factor measurements at frequencies lower than the frequencies of the public electrical power networks

A process diagnoses the dielectric ageing of an electrical component without earth current and geometric size, by loss factor measurements, using frequencies less than those of public, electric utility networks. In a second stage process, the dielectric ageing is determined by comparison of the aged component with that of the original new condition. The measurement is made using capacity measuring probes.
