A flexible bag and filler assembly apparatus for large volumes having a member attaching the flexible bag to the filler assembly. The flexible bag has a plurality of walls and at least one seal cooperating therewith to define a cavity, a discharge spout and a spout body. The filler assembly has an elongated filler member having an inlet spout positioned at the second end of the filler assembly. The attaching member includes an adapter mounted on the flexible bag and a coupling mounted on the first end of the elongated filler member. The adapter has a first mating component and the coupling has a second mating component, whereupon mating of the first mating component with the second mating component, a substantially fluid tight seal is created.
