The golden ration 1.618 is used to compose food and drink products. This mathematical ratio, 0.618/0.382, is used to proportion ingredients. A honey syrup may comprise 61.8% or 38.2% honey. These syrups can be used as the basis for beverages or as sweeteners for foods such as jam, marmalade, chocolate or yoghurt. Drink compositions based on the honey syrup may be balanced with mineral water, fruit juice and / or herbs. A juice having a sweet, sour and bitter taste is prepared by mixing 382 g lemon juice, 23.6 g lemon rind and 0.8 g frankincense gum. 382 g of this juice is strained, mixed with 618 g honey and heated to 65�C. |
